Brush
I LOVE this simple new custom brush I made in Photoshop. Just select the "Spatter 39 Pixel" brush, then turn on shape dynamics and texture. Done! Here's a little doodle I did with it and an example of the brush stroke.

Pampered
I saw a wonderful post by Dave Pimentel a little earlier today and when I read the bi-daily theme pampered I couldn't help but think of one of those pampered pooches. There were a lot in my head but this was the first one to come out. I've still been messing with doodles in Painter so here is another. But then of course I always seem to revert back to Photoshop to finish it.

Military Men Silhouettes
Here are some silhouettes I did a while back. I always like to change it up and try new things and I think if you compare these with anything else I've done the subject matter is a bit different. I enjoyed these but in the end they wanted something a bit more realistic.

Yay, I have Painter X back on my computer! I haven't used it in over a year. I missed it. Here's a quickie using the Calligraphy - "Wide Stroke 50"

Doodle Break
Here's a little doodle break I took a bit earlier today. I decided I draw a lot of people and not enough animals or creatures. Once I acknowledged that, this little guy came out. Quick pencil sketch with watercolor and a little gouache to get the saturation where I wanted it. This made me really miss the Zoo. Going to have to plan a trip, soon-ish.

Evil Genius
I need to practice rendering form more so I was playing around with a quick flat/graphic sketch. Think this is as far as I'm going to take it, I feel like I should move on and try another.

Sketch Club Mark Catch up!
Finally got a moment to catch up on my Sketch Club marks. So here are the last couple peeps I could remember. :] Since I haven't posted these in a while and for anyone just tuning in, I go to lunch with friends every Friday to get some fresh air and sketch. Once we're finished we pick a random victim, i mean person, to try and memorize and then draw later from memory, whom we lovingly refer to as "the mark." So these are all characters from memory.
Top: Fedora Girl from Royal T (11June10)
Bottom Left: Black and Yellow Lady (25June10)
Bottom Right: Bart Man (9July10)
Oh right, and don't forget to check out everyone else's contributions on:

Sketch Club: Shades of Brown
Mark from this past Friday. I recorded the process with Camstasia but I have no idea what I'm doing with the program, I'll let you know if/when I'm able to post it. :]Here is Chris Ayers' "mark" drawing from last week, I thought it was too amazing not to share. A little back story he's missed a couple marks and since he missed this past weeks he drew everyone else checking out the Blue Lady while he and Omar are back there blabbing. LOVE IT!
